The challenge

The ADB’s Annual Meeting is the most concentrated window in the calendar for getting institutional decision-makers to read something about a project. Three wind farms on the Ustyurt Plateau — a UNESCO-recognised landscape — and an 800 km transmission line through houbara bustard habitat needed a piece of communications work that travelled across platforms in the days the AGM was actually happening.

The approach

I coordinated a cross-platform launch designed to land in the same week as the AGM in Milan: a long-form LinkedIn explainer for institutional readers, a Bluesky thread for civil-society audiences, an X post for press visibility, and an Instagram Reel I filmed and edited with biodiversity campaigner Andrey Ralev at the AGM venue itself. The piece carried both the biodiversity concern and our formal written comments on the draft ESIA.

Key outputs

  • On-location video with Andrey Ralev, filmed and edited at the ADB AGM in Milan
  • Long-form LinkedIn explainer with the full project picture
  • Bluesky and X threads for the civil-society and press audiences
  • Instagram Reel adapted from the AGM footage
  • Formal written comments on the draft ESIA submitted to the ADB

Why this case study

It shows what coordinated comms at an institutional moment actually looks like: not one big post, but the same story shaped for four audiences and the cameras kept rolling in the room where decisions happen.
